Setting Up Professional Email Addresses

Having custom business emails (e.g., info@yourbrand.ng, sales@yourbrand.ng) builds trust and credibility with clients, suppliers, and bank partners.

Step 1: Create an Email Account in cPanel

  1. Log into your cPanel account (via Nupat Cloud Dashboard).
  2. Under the Email section, click Email Accounts.
  3. Click the + Create button on the right side.
  4. Configure your account details:
    • Domain: Select your domain from the dropdown.
    • Username: Type your preferred prefix (e.g., info, support, chidi).
    • Password: Click Generate or set a strong password.
    • Storage Space: Set storage quota (e.g., 1024 MB or Unlimited).
  5. Click + Create.

Step 2: Accessing Your Webmail

You can access your webmail from any browser on phone or desktop:

  1. Visit https://yourdomain.com/webmail (or https://yourdomain.com:2096).
  2. Log in using your full email address (e.g., info@yourbrand.ng) and the password created in Step 1.
  3. Choose your preferred webmail client interface (Roundcube is enabled by default).

Step 3: Setting Up Email on Smartphone or Outlook

To configure your email in mobile apps (Gmail app, Apple Mail) or desktop software (Microsoft Outlook):

  • Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com
    • IMAP Port: 993 (SSL)
    • POP3 Port: 995 (SSL)
  • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.com
    • SMTP Port: 465 (SSL) or 587 (STARTTLS)
  • Authentication: Required (Use full email address & password).

:::tip Deliverability Tip To prevent your emails from ending up in your recipient's Spam folder, ensure your SPF and DKIM records are active in cPanel under Email Deliverability. Nupat Cloud configures these automatically for all new hosting accounts. :::
